World Oceans Day 2019

Grand Palladium and TRS hotels in Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Brazil will be supporting the International Ocean Day with different educational and sports activities for their guest, aligned with their environmental responsibility.

 

 Snorkeling, water aerobics, environmental activities and a reading of a manifestoare part of the activities programmed to celebrate it and to call for awareness and reflection.

 

Our properties in Riviera Maya, Jamaica and Vallarta actively promote the conservation of marine turtles through specific and fixed beach campsite to protect the eggs and release their baby turtles. Activities are planned and monitored by authorized and specialized environmental engineers, biologists and volunteers. 

 

Since 2012, our campsites have released over 600.000 specimens.

Chesapeake Bay Research and Management: Progress and Future Challenges

The Chesapeake Research Consortium / Chesapeake Community Modeling Program (CCMP) seeks to improve observational and modeling tools specific to the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding environment by fostering collaborative, open source research. The purpose of the seventh biennial Chesapeake Community Research Symposium is to identify and showcase existing observational and modeling research efforts and decision support tools using data.
