World Oceans Day at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

Celebrate the ocean and share how important it is in our lives. Family-oriented activities include arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, animal stories, a guided beach walk, a close-up look at baby animals AND:
Participate in the EarthEcho Water Challenge from 2-4pm! Join us as we take part in this effort to teach the importance of our most precious resource – water. Learn what you, your family and friends can do to conserve water and prevent water pollution. Take actual samples and test them to learn more about the health of our salt marsh. Open to all ages. The International Coastal Cleanup began more than 30 years ago, when communities rallied together with the common goal of collecting and documenting the trash littering their coastline. The movement was catalyzed by the passion and spirit of two committed individuals. Back in 1986, Linda Maraniss moved to Texas from Washington, DC, where she had been working for Ocean Conservancy.
