The "MareArte" art project was born from an idea of the artist DIEGO RACCONI as a collective artistic initiative of works in small format, traveling through the postal system. The works of artists from different regions and from foreign countries focus on the varied relationship between man and the sea. Art can represent a valid awareness tool, through which to send a message to the community, stimulating virtuous behavior and evoking ancient customs and traditions.
Turkish Marine Research Foundation has prepared a special online panel for the 8th of June, World Oceans Day. 30 scientists, captains, divers and marine workers will participate in the panel, which will take place in 4 sessions. In the sessions, topics such as marine biodiversity, climate change, species to be protected, problems of the marine sector will be discussed.
