Gothenburg Marine Biological Laboratory will celebrate World Oceans Day 2019 with an Open Lab event. Visitors are welcome to vsist the lab, do experiments, ask questions about the marine Environment and to take part in citizen science and help researchers to look for marine invasive species.
On Thursday, the 6th of June, Oceana is opening a photo-exposition “Discover the hidden North Sea” on the Museumsquare in Amsterdam.
The outdoor exhibition, on display until 24rd of June, reveals the hidden gems of the North Sea that Oceana documented during its two recent expeditions. Through this action, the largest ocean protection organisation aims to make Dutch audience aware of the beauty of the North Sea and the urgency to protect its vulnerable biodiversity.
Please join us for an experiential event exploring inclusive ocean impact as part of UN Oceans Week! Central will be the art of film and storytelling in promoting sustainable ocean solutions. This special Sundowner brings together social innovators, solutionists and environmental creative activists. Special guests include Hinano Teavai Murphy, Christian Vanizette, Kiran Jandu, Lynn Zebeda, Sebastian Lindstrom, Daniela Fernandez and grammy award winner Kenny Young.
This Thursday, we'll be hosting a beach cleanup at Democrat Point in Robert Moses! All are welcome!
We all enjoy Long Island's incredible beaches in the Summer, so why not help keep them clean! If you're a fisher, surfer, or just a local who cares - stop by and lend a hand! Let's set an example to leave no trace this Summer.

If you have a beach access pass for a 4WD vehicle, feel free to drive on and meet us on the ocean-side as far west as you're allowed.

The Barbados World Oceans Day event will take place on Saturday 8th June from 9-11am at Copacabana.
It will be a free educational morning event where we will use art to share the importance of the ocean, threats facing the ocean and how we can collaborate to protect life below water. We will also highlight a few young women working in the Blue Space.
