Naipunnya School of Management celebrated World Oceans Day in collaboration with UNDP Ocean Action Hub. As part of the celebrations Fr. George Mavumkoottathil inaugurated the event by giving a message on ocean conservation for future generations as well as contemporary world. Students from the college under the 'Ocean Action Hub' club actively participated in the cleaning activities on the shores of Arabian Sea in Andhakaranazhi beach area.

La Saison Bleue propose en trois mois un véritable circuit culturel, scientifique, économique, touristique, qui s’adressera directement à un public estimé à 2 voire 3 millions de personnes.

A l’initiative de l’Accord RAMOGE, avec son partenaire le Centre Permanent d’Initiatives pour l’Environnement Iles de Lérins et Pays d’Azur (CPIE), et de la Ville de Cannes, une journée de sensibilisation « Du littoral aux abysses » se tiendra le 8 juin à Cannes, à l’occasion de la journée mondiale des Océans. Cet évènement permettra de sensibiliser le grand public à la beauté et à la fragilité du monde sous-marin.

Venerdì 8 giugno dalle ore 09:00 - in occasione del World Ocean Day, la giornata mondiale dell’Oceano – il Museo Tecnico Navale di La Spezia ospiterà una giornata didattica di approfondimento sul mare in collaborazione con il Distretto Ligure delle Tecnologie Marine (DLTM), l’Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e la Ricerca Ambientale (ISPRA), l’Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) e la Marina Militare.

Clean up in Venice

The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, Venice, in collaboration with various Venetian and national institutions including CNR-ISMAR and Veritas, is organizing a clean-up day for plastic waste that, incidentally or voluntarily abandoned, invade vast lagoon areas as well as the channels of the historic centre of Venice.  

The initiative is of a purely civic and educational nature, without any political connotation and open to every single individual or associations that intend to adhere on a personal or collective basis.
